Escape Box (by Kiwi Kingdom) is based in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its main product is the outdoor escape game. Unlike a traditional escape room that locks you in one room, it takes you outside: you just show up and your actor-guide meets you with a physical box of clues, then leads you through a trail of puzzles across real Toronto neighbourhoods, guided the entire time by a professional improv actor (the actor-guide brings all the materials needed; you just need comfortable walking shoes and a fully charged cellphone). - **The Vanishing of Ambrose Small** (not running in 2026) - A ghost walk after dark through downtown Toronto's true history. It isn't running this year and can't be booked.
- **The Dead Detective** (coming soon) - A supernatural investigation around David Pecaut Square (55 John St, King St W & John St). Help a medium and the shade of a murdered detective work through his case file, eliminate suspects and close the case, with puzzles built into the public art around King and Simcoe. ~90 min, 2–15 players, $40 CAD/person.

## How it differs from a regular escape room

Traditional escape rooms confine you to one room for ~60 minutes. Escape Box is fully outdoors: the puzzles are part of Toronto's real streets, murals, and public spaces, and a professional improv actor stays with your group the whole time, keeping the story alive and nudging you forward if you get stuck.

- **Is it accessible?** Most routes follow public sidewalks and plazas, but Escape From Unreality includes Graffiti Alley, a laneway with uneven ground; contact us before booking with specific needs.

## Nuit Blanche Toronto 2026

Nuit Blanche Toronto 2026 ran from 7 p.m. Saturday, October 3 to 7 a.m. Sunday, October 4, 2026 (free; theme: Tomorrow's Memories; 77 projects on the City of Toronto's map, the largest cluster around City Hall / Nathan Phillips Square, Old City Hall and Trinity Square). The City's official map shows the pins but cannot plan or follow a route, so Escape Box made a free route planner for the night. Since the night, https://www.escapebox.ca/nuit-blanche is a recap: the works visitors loved most (by hearts left on the map during the night) and visitors' photos, with every work still listed. You give it your location (or an address, or a preset spot) and how long you have, and it builds walking routes (least walking, big commissioned works, or quieter independent projects) with Google Maps directions for each leg, a check-off list and a share link. A wheelchair option keeps to the works the City marks wheelchair accessible (with its notes on step-free entrances) and ends at a subway station with elevators, and visitors can keep a wish list of works to build their routes around or send to friends. It is not an official City of Toronto tool; project data comes from the City's published 2026 art map. TTC Line 1 and Line 2 ran all night during Nuit Blanche.

## Toronto Street Art Walks

Escape Box also made a free street art walk planner for all of Toronto: https://www.escapebox.ca/street-art. Give it your location (or an address, or a spot such as Graffiti Alley, Kensington Market or Queen & Woodbine), how long you have (30 minutes to half a day) and what you want to see - murals, painted laneways, underpasses, sculptures and monuments, painted utility boxes, painted barriers - and it builds walking routes (least walking, big walls, or off the beaten path) with photos, Google Maps directions for each leg, a check-off list and a share link. Optional filters: works by Indigenous artists, works from 2020 on; a checkbox adds museums, galleries and landmarks (the ROM, the AGO, Casa Loma, lookouts, historic sites, from OpenStreetMap) as stops on the way. Graffiti Alley (Rush Lane, behind Queen Street West from Spadina Avenue to Portland Street) is a highlighted stop, drawn end to end on the map. The map at https://www.escapebox.ca/street-art/explore lists nearly 3,000 works nearest first. Data comes from StreetARToronto (the City of Toronto's street art program), Mural Routes and the City's Public Art & Monuments collection; it is not an official tool of any of them.
